The work on survey has kickstarted in different villages of Bihar. Pankaj Jha, the Sarpanch of Koilakh panchayat has taken lead to educate the dwellers of Koilakh Village. In an awareness camp organised at Gram Panchayat Bhavan, Koilakh, Mr Pankaj Jha counted a slew of measures to be taken while submitting forms for survey. Mr Jha was accompanied by Shilpa Chaudhary, the Kanun GO Incharge.

“During the land survey, the raiyats need to be very cautious so that their land can be surveyed properly. Due to a slight mistake of the raiyats while filling the form, their land can be evicted. Therefore, the land owners should start filling the relevant form only after getting complete information. Its process is also going on in Madhubani district. During this, the first phase work is going on in all the zones of the district. In this, the raiyats are being made aware and they are being informed to fill the form carefully. “ This information was given by the Zone Kanun Go Incharge Shilpa Chaudhary.

Landowners were alerted

Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat-Raj Koilakh, Pankaj Jha has appealed to the people that the landowners should be cautious during the survey and ensure that their land is recorded correctly in the survey. If any mistake is made in the survey, the raiyats have the opportunity to register objection three times before the publication of the gazette. In this, they can get the mistakes related to their land corrected. But, once the final publication is done, the possibility of correction becomes very less.

What do the raiyats have to do in Form 2?

Kanun Go Shilpa Chaudhary told that through general assembly in various villages, the raiyats are being informed that they should fill Form 2 with their own declaration, mention the details of their land’s account, khesra, area and boundary and submit it to the surveyor after signing it.

What to do if you live in another state?

Shilpa Chaudhary told that a big misunderstanding is coming up among the people regarding the survey that the presence of the raiyats is mandatory for getting the land surveyed or near the land during the survey, whereas there is no such thing and neither has any such instruction been received from the government. Clearing this misunderstanding of the raiyats, she told that it is not mandatory for the concerned landowner to be present during the survey. If a person lives outside i.e. in another city or state, then they can complete the entire process related to land survey online. For this, apart from the website of Revenue and Land Reforms, he can join the survey by understanding the entire process on the website of Directorate of Land Records and Measurement dlrs.bihar.gov.in.

Documents can be submitted in permanent camp

At the same time, for the convenience of the raiyats of the region, a permanent camp has been set up in Simri Goith Panchayat Government Building of Rajnagar block, where farmers or raiyats can submit their documents.
